Becoming a Peer Tutor is an opportunity to increase communication and interpersonal skills, as well as prepare for the NCLEX examination. Peer tutoring challenges tutors to retain information, understand its 应用程序 within a clinical setting, and explains course work in their own words.

职位描述:

The purpose of all tutoring at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and 健康科学 is to help students/peers become more independent learners. Tutors provide individual and/or group tutoring to students. Peer tutors meet with students to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes and help students solve specific problems. Tutoring is a “student centered” activity, 因此, the emphasis and content of the tutoring sessions is determined by the students’ needs. Tutoring is a supplement to teaching, not a replacement for class attendance and participation.

目标:

  • To help students maximize, expand, and improve their academic skills
  • 前听 & respond to the academic needs of others with creativity, energy, sensitivity and patience
  • To reinforce students’ understanding of subject-specific course material
  • To share subject-specific study skills
  • To promote and speak professionally of the services and programs of the LRC/BRCN
